Mark Allan Hoppus- Is the bassist and co-vocalist for the band. He used to co-own two companies, Atticus and Macbeth Footwear, and has his own clothing line named Loser Kids Clothing. In 2004 Mark started the band +44 with Craig Fairbaugh, Travis Barker, and Shane Gallagher.

Mark married Skye Everly in 2000

and they have a son named Jack.

In 1992, after moving to San Diego, Hoppus was introduced to Tom DeLonge through his sister, Anne. DeLonge had been looking for a bandmates for his  new punk rock band, and the two musicians quickly bonded over their shared love of punk music, skateboarding, and juvenile humor.
